Dr. Nicole Jordan, Soprano
Welcome to the homepage of Trinidadian-born, Canadian-bred singer, Nicole Jordan!
Nicole has been a busy musician for over ten years, specialising in chamber music, in particular, choral music and song repertoire. She has sung with a variety of chamber ensembles including The Nathaniel Dett Chorale, The Canadian Chamber Choir, the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, and the early music ensemble, The Harp Consort. Nicole and is now the artistic director of the classical music and dance ensemble, OperaDans in The Hague, Netherlands.
Nicole holds an honours undergraduate Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Acadia University in Canada, a Masters of Music Psychology from Keele University in the United Kingdom, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Performance Studies from Sheffield University in the United Kingdom. A “singer-scholar”, Nicole is an experienced music psychology researcher with a passionate interest in the psyche of the performing artist.
